Ok...second Newbe question in this Seti@Home to Seti/BOINC transition....

When my screensaver pops up...I see an error box flying around saying that "Windows Secure desktop does not support this function"

How do I get around that? I see nothing posted in the first few pages of the Msg board but I assume that this has come up b4...tks...

Basically that happens when you have the check password before resuming option selected for your screensaver.

I've fixed the message in future versions of the client, but hopefully we can fix this so it won't be a problem in the near future.

This message sometimes appears on my system. I never have the password option set. There is some sort of bug in the checking. And when this happens, it is a good sign that I need to reboot to get things working again.

I've also found that the screen saver does not work in XP, and that running BOINC interferes with the directx screen savers (and, apparently, with Opengl screen savers, like BOINC).

Great news for the future...any idea when this release will be available?

I only as as I am sure a lot of people have this same issue, but I run SETI on my work computer and for security reasons I HAVE to have a password when the screensaver is stopped...kinda frustrating actually...

Thanks...

I'm running XP Pro SP1. Have no problem running the screensaver (although I don't use it) as long there are WU's to crunch ;o)

Greetings from Belgium.
