The problem with researchers is that they are not in the business of making money, just using someone eles's money. After over 5 years of cruching WUs I have about had it. We can barely communicate with SETI, it seems rarely get WUs up or downloaded and hear next to nothing from SETI about what they are doing to fix the problems. They fail to realize their customer base is out here and if they don't take care of us, we may just pack our computers and go home. Without us out here crunching numbers, they don't have a project. Applying the correct resources to getting these problems fixed now ought to be their highest priority along with, and maybe even more imprortantly, talking to the people who support them and make it possible for them to have jobs.
Now I have vented. Now its time for SETI to start thinking outside the box and get these problems fixed before we decide to take our spare cycles to another project. - Mike
