In the Technical News they said that they did 35 results per second, that would be 63000 results per half hour. I watched the server status and last half hour 1500 results(in progress) dissapeared. And downloading is still not possible, so it can't be that. Do they have serious problems again?

I have gotten about 5 from my work unit and about 10 from my home unit this last week to upload. I have about 10 from my work unit and 30 from the home unit to still transmit...just waiting for the fix to take effect and the bottleneck to clear.........

Downloading is not the problem, but I haven't been able to upload a single WU since the 8th of December on any of my PCs or so it seems. That's tens of WUs waiting to get uploaded for me alone. Other projects seem to get affected as well, one Rosetta WU crashed (did not get past the 1% mark), one failed seti download blocked the rest of my projects for hours.

Check your general preferences. Rosetta needs you to keep applications "in memory" last I heard. see "your account" "general preferences"

I just looked at one of my machines had gotten 14 out of 55. I was surprised when i saw that. Things seem to be getting a little better.

Yep, WUs are being uploaded as the number being crunched is going down slowly but surely.

I have about 15% of my results "waiting to report" having, apparently, uploaded and "waiting to report". This has happened today, so demonstratres a slight speeding up of the connections and uploads.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Got 16 units uploaded in the last 24 hours, but still are "waiting to report" that means they did not arrive in the result list still waiting some 35 to upload.

I haven't been having such good luck.
Three results uploaded on 9 Dec., two on 10 Dec. aprox. 0400Z, and nothing since. Presently 16 results waiting to upload, getting constant "Couldn't connect to hostname [setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu]" or "temporarily failed upload .... error 500".

Question.
Has anyone else told their cilent to stop downloads? If so any change in their personal backlog?

(I turned one off and left the other on, but no changes are apparent.)

Still no luck here - I have a growing list of items in the retry queues on all servers here. I'm getting a cannot connect to host message now - two samples below:

12/11/2005 7:41:59 PM||Couldn't connect to hostname [setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu]

12/11/2005 9:20:05 PM||Couldn't connect to hostname [setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu]

When I looked previously, I was getting error 500s

Seems I have uploaded one result on the 10th. It's not validated yet, so it could still be ET!

Running out of work at an alarming rate - I would imagine if nothing changes by Wednesday pretty much everyone will be dry.

I think downloads are now turned off until the backlog is cleared. (I've got no more SETI work - but ClimatePrediction now has plenty of crunch time on my machine)

I believe when they shut off the feeder (not to allow downloads), it also shut off the ability to report the units returned. So only uploads are allowed, and downloading/reporting will be turned back on when they are confident enought to do so.
