I was trying to update the Seti Project. However on the 4th try (after a 1 min delay after each of the 3 initial attempts), I get the follwoing message:

SETI@home - 2004-08-03 18:11:30 - Message from server: Can't update code signing key. Please report this to the project administrators.

I've had the same message recently, and I have a couple of suggestions about it.

1. It would be much easier for your users if the message told us how to report it. Like if it said "Please report this to the project administrators at xxxx@setiathome.com". That is, give an email address right in the message where you want us to send this report. No doubt we could find the appropriate email address by searching around in the pages on the website, but it'd be much easier if it was right in the message. (And much more likely that users would actually report it.)

2. For this message itself on the messages tab, the standard Windows cut & paste function has been disabled. So if a user tries to report this to the project administrators, as requested, they can't just cut & paste the message, but must re-key the whole message to send it to you. This makes it pretty inconvenient for your users to report this error (as you requested). And that seems likely to greatly reduce the chances that users will actually bother to report this.
