Hello, Boinc 5.2.13 seems to be stable for some days now and no further versions have been released yet. That's why i released an optimized version for windows. changes: 1. "-return_results_immediately" now available again (Trux mod) 2. benchmarks should be back were they used to be. (my 5.2.7 version) Download as usual at my page. [/EDIT] P.S Forgotten to say that probably next week (when i get the ICC/IPP licenses ordered them yesterday) I'll release the optimized windows version of setiathome with caching functions. It does not work for me on win2k sp4+++. It says can't find msvcr80.dll, or some such. |

It does not work for me on win2k sp4+++. You need one of my previous versions installed to get it working. Just download 5.2.7 and extract it into your boinc folder and overwrite all files- After that extract my 5.2.13 again into your boinc folder. You'll see that it works now. ![]() Join BOINC United now! |

On my A64 3000+ OC to 4000+++, it gives me about 15% better results for benchmarking. Thank you, Mr. Cruncher. Hope you turn your attention to the science program soon, but even better, start to experiment with using my PC's GPU to crunch something. |

I just read it. Thank you, Mr. Crunch3r. The optimizations are pretty incredible, especially for the integer speed. My A64 machine went from about 4000 to more than 9000, and the claimed credits jumped up accordingly. The caching function concept could be considered a mini revolution, I suppose, and the compiling of which must be pretty difficult with the aggressive compiler and all. All in all, this is `my' kind of action. |

It does not work for me on win2k sp4+++. Hi Cruncher. I just tried this, and now I remembered why I didn't run your 5.2.7 version back when you first announced it. For some reason, you chose to make it only available as a .rar, and I just never got around to installing winrar to unpack that. Shouldn't the 5.2.13 package just be complete in itself? Is it just one more file or what? At least you should put a note on the web site, saying the previous version is required... Thanks for doing all you do! Don |

At least i can give you an preview of what to expect. CPU: AMD64 @ 2.8 GHz Running an older version... http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=1498653&offset=320 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=1498653&offset=340 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=1498653&offset=360 the new version is a little faster. ![]() Join BOINC United now! |

Yup, it works now, with the extra files. Thanks! On my P4 northwood 3.06 HT running at 3.33, my benchmarks went from about the high 1300's to: 12/2/2005 3:23:16 PM|| 2150 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 12/2/2005 3:23:16 PM|| 2541 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU Nice! |

Just a bit. It is an ath64 3200, running at 2.73 Gig, (up from 2.0 stock, I guess) with dual channel ddr ruuning about ddr430 or so. Just using standard HSF, and the fan not running full speed. These processors are great! When your new seti client comes out, I'll have an excuse to rerun the standard WU, and submit it to Marisan, and retake the lead in the amd board. When I first submitted them, I was only running 2.58. I just didn't want to sacrifice the actual useful crunch time, just for the sake of stats. Don |
