WARNING!!I had a Via C3 1ghz running BOINC but it was so slow I had to replace it with a P3 1ghz. The Via C3 was doing a wu in about 25 hrs. Yes 25 hours vs P3 in about 8.5 hrs. And just for comparison a P2 400mhz will do a wu in about 15.5 hrs Anyone want the Via C3? |

It's not like 25 hours will hit the expiration date per WU if you exchange packets with SETI often. |

I would rather get a case and put back together the dual P2-266 than do anything with the Via cpu |

You get what you pay for :) VIA C3 is only usable for silent systems that don't need a lot of CPU-power. ==================== BOINC user and team stats |
