It looks like you have the URL correct. There may be a communication problem. Check your firewall and proxy settings.

The URL you are using is correct.

Straight from the e-mail I received from berkeley when I set up my account and it hasn't changed.

I am assuming you are trying to attach to the SETI project when you get that message to check the URL and try again.

When you are attaching to the project and no work units are downloaded you will get the pop up message telling you to check the URL or maybe your account ID. I got both. Just keep trying using the URL and account ID you got in your e-mail. Once a workunit is downloaded everything will be fine.

Wrong. That is the URL (or one of them) for the website front page. It is NOT (repeat NOT) the correct URL for the BOINC project itself.

The correct URL to give the BOINC client is: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu

There is a small bit of HTML at the bottom of that page that tells the BOINC client where to find the SETI/BOINC scheduler.

Make sure you do not have any spaces at the beginning or end of the url when you put it in.
