Everything seems to be running. I can upload finished WU's. I can update.
Haven't hit low watermark yet, so I cannot check if there is fresh work
available. I see no complaints about a lack of WU's. Is that correct? I
everybody getting a reasonable amount of work?

The site is up, everything working but....................I do not seem to
get any credits. Not since the project went up again.

Is that correct? Is that the only thing standing still at the moment?

Hi,

no credits here for more than one week - about 50 WU's during this time.

But without any further information about pending credits or (number of) finished results it's hard to predict anything...

Greetings
Stefan

Yep seems to be happening to everyone.

This link is a good example:

http://www.setisynergy.com/stats/synergy_stats.php

It is our team stats, which is updated hourly (depending on any chages), and as you can see of the 50+ members, only 2 have been credited today, and not many the previous day as well.

Everyone is returning credits, it seems that the crediting is just a bit slow. No biggie... they will in time. Part of the reason COULD be because MANY of the work units currently being sent out are _0 and _1 work units.

Of course we could instantly tell if we had "Show PENDING CREDITS" working *evil grin* *hint hint*

Until then we just wait... if you have returned credits, they will show up in time.

Credits gained with BOINC are only granted when two or more people have processed the same unit, and the results match. There's a good description of how it works here:

http://homepage.mac.com/pauldbuck/site-common/glossary/letter-c.html#credit

You'll get your credits when other people have returned thier results. This might take a few days.

Sure, I know that. But that is not the point. Nobody seems to be getting much credit at the moment. Seems they almost stopped giving out credit about a week ago.

I've been constantly sending finished WU's and I had a steady stream of credit coming in, but it stopped now.

That seems to be the case for all users.

The little credit I received today was almost half for a machine I took off the project more than a week ago. (Or was it half a week?). That is not consistant with the steady stream of work I have been delivering.

Ok - so maybe there's a problem with the credit system, or maybe the downtime of the last week has delayed the results being correlated. Maybe the credit is lost forever.

Does it really matter?

You can't spend your credit, you can't eat it, and the one who DOES find ET won't necessarily be the one with the most. Let your computer crunch numbers and take home a warm glow from knowing that you have crunched your WUs, even if the credit is lost.

LOL! Shhhh, you may give Berkeley an idea to solve two problems at once - all the complaints and work shortage!

BTW, I received 40 credit last night! W00T!

Credits seem to be slow in coming, it has been a little more
than a week since I have received any, since that time I am
sure I have returned 40+ workunits...just waiting it out.

On the flip side I read many people are not recieving any
workuints, as for myself, now am just running RH9 at home
and everytime linux finishes off a workunit and uploads I
always receive a new workunit, always keeping 20 wu's in
cache. At work am running windows98se, had some problem
there, uninstalled and reinstalled everything and recieved
30 wu's...at home and work my connect is PPPoE. Puzzling
to some degree.

Paul just out of curiousity, are you running Linux? IMHO..Linux is
a much faster and more reliable operating system than Windows.
Maybe you should give the penguin a chance :)

Xi3

Post Script: Running Linux is kind of like working on a car,
when something does go wrong, you have to open the hood and get
your hands dirty, but it's always a good learning experience :)
