I see the option to set up different preferences for different locations but I don't see any way of telling the client which preference to use. The 'messages' tab says "General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults". Am I being a bit thick? |

On the website, for each of your computers, there is a location setting on that computers page. jm7 |

John, How does it know which computer is my work computer and which is my home computer? I can't find anything in BOINC that can set the location. |

Click Seti@Home "view/edit" link in the preferences section. Click on the "Edit Seti@Home preferences" link. Now change your default computer location, and update. :) <a> [/url] |

To set the Location for a computer: Select 'You account' Click the 'Computers View' A list of you PCs should be displayed. Select a Computer ID. At the bottom of the page you can set the 'Location' for the PC. |
