Work/School/Home preferences

I see the option to set up different preferences for different locations but I don't see any way of telling the client which preference to use. The 'messages' tab says "General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults". Am I being a bit thick?

How does it know which computer is my work computer and which is my home computer? I can't find anything in BOINC that can set the location.

I tried this option, but it seems it doesn't work. Now my two conputers (home and work) are setted as "home". Any other suggestion? Thanks a lot!

To set the Location for a computer:

Select 'You account'
Click the 'Computers View'
A list of you PCs should be displayed. Select a Computer ID.
At the bottom of the page you can set the 'Location' for the PC.
