I had to uninstall my beloved Adblock!!!!! I installed Flash Player 8, and pffffft I couldn't see any Flash movies and that includes Foamy! I did that some weeks ago, where I didn't realize, what was wrong when I suddenly couldn't see any Flash movies after installing the Flash Player, so I tried to use the Windows XP system restore function, but that didn't help. Then I restored my system from my backup on my Maxtor External harddrive using the tool that came with that, but this is not something I'll like to do very often! But then the other day this little popup came and told me that I needed to upgrade a plugin, and without really noticing it, I again downloaded the Flash Player 8! I realized when it was too late! But Ok, now I knew it was the Flash Player 8, that did the damage, so I opened Macromedia's site, and tried to figure out where I could get the Flash Player 7 download. So there I found out that yes, there was a problem, and there was a program to download to fix the problem in IE! And it worked fine in IE, but still no Foamy in FF! Ok, on to the Mozilla sites and search for the problem, and viola! EDIT: Link removed to comments to Adblock 0.5.2.055 page 8! [Sigh!!!!] So Adblock had to go! At least till somebody has fixed the problem, or a new version is released! Of course I could keep my Adblock but then I'd have to see Foamy and all other kind of sites using Flash Player in IE, and I guess we all know the answer to that! Right?! (And here that cute emoticon showing Firefox Good, e bad! should have been inserted, but I couldn't find it, and SpreadFirefox was down! Dan, do you have it somewhere?) Navigate to your Plugins folder in the FireFox folder. Copy NPSWF32.dll to it. That's Shockwave Flash 7.0 r19. You must restart FF to let it take effect. Or alternatively, download Flasplayer 7 Installer to always have it as backup. I deleted Flashplayer 8 from my systems as it refused to show news sites and my ISP's sites which use FP7 ... |

Was this the one you meant?: Exactly! Where was it to download from? I searched everywhere, but Spread Firefox wouldn't open, and other places it wasn't to find! Thanks!!! :-D And now from my own Photobucket! "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Yep, me too. I always freak out when I have to use IE and all that gaudy advertising crap jumps into my face. Regards Hans |

So how do you think I felt when I found out that I couldn't reverse the install of Flash Player 8? Flash Player 7 is nowhere to be found, and I filed a report to Macromedia about it and asked if they would send me one. Ok, I could have restored from my backup, but that's a mirror of my system at the time I did the backup, so unless I save, what I have added since, I would end up with a system just as that time, including the WU's I had in my BOINC cache also! The last two times I did this, first I lost the WU's I was crunching, because I wasn't aware of this, and then I started to crunch those WU's I already had reported! The next time I did it, I emptied my cache before I did anything, so no WU's were lost, but still! No, this is not something I'll do very often! But the main part in this is actually, that there's a bug in Adblock that makes it incompatible with Flash Player 8, so don't download that, even when FF pops up with a message that this plugin has an upgrade! Not if you want to watch Foamy and others in FF! I thought people should be aware of this. And thanks to Ageless, I had my Flash Player 7 restored! Yeah that's the reason I took out adblock too. It would either make FF think Flash was Quicktime or it just was blank. |

If you are having problems viewing a page, you can simply disable adblock by right clicking on the icon and selecting disable. Reload the page and nothing is blocked. You can also whitelist certain sites if you want to use AdBlock Plus. That way if you have a favorite page that you don't want filtered, you can add it to your whitelist. |

Overhaul for Firefox web browser. Unfortunately the SETI@home User Stats extension is not working with FF 1.5 :-( This has become very handy to me. |

Overhaul for Firefox web browser. Which version of Seti Stats are you using for FF? I know you are using FF 1.5, Iam using 0.3.6 on Firefox portable and it works great. BOINC SYNERGY is an International Team and We Welcome All BOINC Participants! BOINC Synergy Click to Join BOINC Synergy |

I'm using 0.3.6, or I should better say I was using 0.3.6 until this morning, when I downloaded FF 1.5. It's displayed as "Deaktivated - not compatible with Firefox 1.5" meanwhile. |

Wow, that isnt good. Hopefully Chris Means will update the extension to work with FF 1.5, I heard it worked with FF 1.5 beta, maybe a uninstall of extension and reinstall will bring it to life.
