I noticed that a BOINC splash screen pops up when it 1st starts up. Is there a method to turn it off? I want help SETI@home by running on multiple systems on a network. However, I would like to keep things as transparent as possible. I have enough to do without having to take time out to entertain folks on a one-to-one basis regarding the SETI@home project. They've all been told at one point or another. And, it's going to be a pain for me to update all these systems as I have to do it on my own time! Unfortunately, I have to go through testing processes before I start deploying the application. I'm doing this in my home office. And, if I cannot find a good work unit download/upload manager, I will have to settle for running it on only one system. I hate the thought of not meeting my goal of 50,000 completed work units by 12/31/2005. After I hit the 50,000 mark, my next goal is winding up in the top 1,000 USA list. Neither will happen if I cannot resolve some minor issues I'm having with BOINC. I do know that if I'm feeling this way, there will be others out there as well. PLEASE help me out SETI@home! Cheers, Arnold |
