I have seen, mostly in these posts, these banners that reflect an individual users SETI stats. I have looked all over and cannot seem to find the appropriate banner software. Can someone point me in the right (or left) direction? Thanks in advance.... |

It's just some HTML. Try the places Paul pointed to for getting the code. Here they are as clickable links: [url=http://www.boinc.mundayweb.com/seti2/]First one<a> [url=http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=signatures]Second one<a> Those places should have instructions on how to set it up; they may require registration. Without looking at it, I think you'll put that HTML into your signature which you set in the AccountInformation for your account. Then you need to leave the "Add my signature to this post (or reply)" box checked so it will be added. |

If it does, thanks much for your input. If not, thanks anyway and I will retry my efforts. |

The URL has been added to my account information here and it still does not work.... Go figure.... There is little in the way of explanation on how things work on the mundayweb website. I just checked the properties of Pauls image and the URL is the same as mine save for the user ID. The check box is checked for the signature, it just doesn't appear. Maybe it needs a day or 2 to take full affect (but I can't see that being valid either). I would also like to try to figure out how to use it in my e-mails. Thanks for the reply.... |

Hi, which URL vom mundayweb.com did you paste? Have you tried to call the URL directly? I have to use the URL with transparency set to off to see anything (setting the transparency with the settings to off is _not_ sufficient for me). Bye Peter |

Hi, one more idea: Try adding something else (ordinary text) to your signature to see if the text appears. If it doesn't it's not the fault of the picture URL... Bye Peter </p>Getting no work from Boinc... |

Hi, aha: I think the reason is obvious: You simply pasted the URL into the signature? The above looks that way... Try adding </p>Aaaahhh... received work from boinc... |

> seems it is not possible to use the signs themselves; > did not appear in the text even in quotes...). To get the lessthan and greaterthan signs to appear in these forums (or in any HTML), you can't just type them in directly: the renderer will try to replace them with something else. You have to use a special symbol so the HTML renderer will show them. For LessThan, your HTML must look like this: < For GreaterThan, your HTML must look like this: > Examples: <This is junk.> >Weird junk.< Note also that when quoting such messages here (or editing them), the "<" gets replaced by a real lessthan sign, so the reposted text won't show the lessthan/greaterthan signs unless you repatch it. |
