I took alook at the "project" tab in boinc and realised that i have two users running. It look something like this: Project Account Total cred. Avg cred share Seti@home Judge6ex 806.32 33,02 50% Seti@home Judge6ex 997,16 46,95 50% Question 1 is : Can i merge these two? Question 2 is : Why is it two users? |

You have 3 computers listed on your view computer page in your acct, go there and try to merge them... Message from the Head ;o) of the Horse Head Nebula Branch of Seti@Home, Check is in the mail |

The only way I can see this happening is if you attached to the seti@home project twice using the same account ID. I have no idea what would happen if you detached one of them. All of the results subbmitted by both should have gone to the same account. If you detach from one of them you might lose all the WU's in your cache. |

Well a part of the reason for this is that I had two diffrent mailaddresses for boinc and classic. So now when I shanged that into one i got two equal projects running. This probably means that it goes away when next reboot comes up. I wounder thou where the credits from the other one went ? |

So I changed the mail address and everything is fine... perhaps not. What happened to the credits that the other mail address had? Are they lost?? What is going on with the pending credit page? aswell as the result page? It seems that Boinc having problem but where are the info? And since I dont work at Berkely I must say I do not understand the problem when it says "the DB is I/O bound" as the last info posted on the main page says. |

The symptom usually comes up due to a trailing space(s) in the master URL when you attach. If it does not fix itself after a couple of restarts. The solution is to detach from all copies. Exit the BOINC client delete any offending account...xml files and any offending project directory(s). Restart the client and reattach to the project. Be careful not to put extra spaces at the begining or end of the URL or authenticator. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
