I'd like to see the SETI screensaver that will run without stopping the processing of the work unit while it is on the creen. |

> It doesn't stop processing. > > <a> > I'm running Windows XP on an AMD 2700+, and it does stop processing. It takes about 3 hours per unit running all the time. When I let the screen saver run, no work is done for hours until I get out of the scr saver. Have checked this in comparing data on the scr saver with data in the BOINC information window and this is true. May be an artifact in my computer, but this is what happens. Also, watching the graphics I can see the % and seconds slow to a stop. Chuck |

Hmm... Doesn't happen here, but the screensaver was the problem child during beta, so it might still have issues on some systems. What is your graphics card? Works for me on: AMD FX-53, Win XP Pro, ATI x800 Pro. AMD XP3000+, (400MHz FSB) Win XP Home, ATI 9700 Pro. <a> |

My solution, use a Windows screen saver and let her run. WU's average 3 hours 12 minutes each. |

As Boinc/Seti runs at the lowest possible priority, it'll never get any cycles. Try a non-OGL screen saver. I use the "Logon Screen Saver" doesn't use any resources while it's running |
