She became a symbol of the struggle against policies that were accepted by many, who failed to apply reason to their actions, and who thereby failed to see the harm those policies inflicted. I remember when, a few years ago, someone broke into her house. What a shame. Amazing how one person can change the country and history as we knew it overnight.
