It looks like you've all been here before - I've been using SETI @ home for over 5 years, starting on Windows 98, before I saw the light. I have recently upgraded my iBook (OS X.3) to a PowerBook (OS X .4) which looks like the end of the road for SETI. I resisted BOINC under 10.3, but it doesn't seem to work under 10.4. Has anybody managed to get the good old SETI screensaver working under OS X 10.4 Tiger, or should I just abandon this? Cheers, Graham. |

Yes... did the standard install of the BOINC Manager version (4.43 at the time), signed up for SETI, it downloaded the SETI application, the screensaver worked fine. I didn't like the way it "moved", so I used the instructions in the Wiki to make it "more like the Classic" one. Signed up for Einstein, it worked fine too. Since then I've moved to using optimized SETI app without the graphics though. If you can give us more information, maybe we can help... what is it doing? Did you install it all as per the Wiki?
