Hello, I think i'm not alone in this case but i have not found answer in the posts. I had 2 computers running boinc, one old and other new. The new had a temporary IP address. I format de old (win 2000->XP), and assign a new IP. The new takes the IP of the old one. Now i have 3 computers ID on boinc and i want merge the old, but i can't. there's no check box. I have read one post which explain to use the old computer to merge it, but i can't because it doesn't exist ! Any ideas? thanks |

The computers have different operating systems. You will not be able to merge them. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |

Will it be possible to merge this computers? > Probably not. The best way to attempt it is to copy the old directory to the new disk and then install the latest version of BOINC over it. That way it may update the existing client_state.xml file instead of creating a new one. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
