A very detailed view of the Andromeda Galaxy. Thanks. I found it at www.telescopes.cc. All the images there were taken by amature photographer Matthew T. Russell. But I think his images are as professional as the ones taken by major observatories. |

One of the largest objects in space, the Perseus Galaxy Cluster. NGC 1275 can be seen at the lower left of the larger image. NGC 1275 is one of the brightest X-ray sources in the sky. |

An oldie but a goodie, one of my favourite space images of recent years: the "Homunculus" in the Keyhole Nebula. It's been featured on APOD several times over the last decade. |
