Errhm, WHY did you reset Seti@home?

The
Not sending work - last RPC too recent: 4 sec

is normal (because of traffic limitation at Berkeley). You just have to wait at least 10 minutes for the next automatic request.

I wonder what happens BEFORE the first message you dumped. Usually a "exit_tasks" schedule event appear before any request ...

If you are running more than one project the following applies;

A request for 0 second of work means one of three things:

The computer has too much work on hand already to meet deadlines reliably.

The project has enough work on hand, and the computer is not desperate for work.

The project has used too much CPU time for its resource share recently and is blocked from requesting more for a while.

In all of these cases, the best thing to do is to leave it alone, and it will fetch more work when it is ready.

The great resource for finding out about all the various messages you'll see is the BOINC Wiki, in this case theBOINC Messages page. Many messages with step by step examples and explanations, and if you find one on your computer that isn't there, Paul D. Buck wants to hear from you with your log files. 8-)
