"Master file fetch failed Deferring communication with project for 1 week, 1 days, 12 hours, 20 minutes." I am able to ping setiathome.berkeley.edu! This message is coming ever since I installed boinc! This meens it is coming since 6 weeks. since 6 weeks i cannot get work from the servver and in this hole helpdesk, there is no answer why. Nobody cares about this problem, nobody gives any solution to this problem. boinc is a peace of sh.. the old client was working well. Never change a running system JIHITU |

You will find the answer very probably in this thread. Important remark: for the moment there seems to be a hardware problem with the server at Berkeley, therefore the problem you have will not be possible to be resolved immediately. You will have to wait until Berkeley fix the problem first. Hope this helps. A little hint that can help in some cases: there is a possibility to use a search function available at the top of the website "Questions and problems" as well as on the website "Message board". hardwareproblems for 6!!!!!!! Weeks????? In our group only one persyon gets work. If the boinc client is not working, why did they change????? think first, act then! JIHITU |

Boinc is working. Thousands of people have been already processed 2.7 Million of WU's. If it was not working, this could not be possible. Greetings from Belgium.
