I was trying out the background picture option in the seti@home preferences.
I tried 2 URLs but it didn't understand them.. ok no problem.
I changed the field back to blank and saved the settings. However two days later it is still trying to download these pictures..

Apparently your preferences has not been changed on your PC.

If you did not closed the client, I would try first to close it, then restart it, do an "Update" in the tab "Projects" and check in the tab "Messages" that your preferences has been updated.
Once your preferences have been updated, you should not have the error message anymore.

They will eventually give up. The only sure way to stop them is to do a clean reinstall. A project reset and detaching and reattaching have a chance of fixing it so you may want to try that first.
