Just incase anyone has been wondering. I installed Boinc for windows on a Linux OS running CrossOver Plugin ver. 2.01. It is a bit touchy. As long as you install it on it's own desktop and don't try to run anything else on that desktop it seems to run ok. You can use the tabs normally, goto File and run benchmarks, etc. Just don't try to move the gui around or run anything else. I down loaded some WU's and processed them and as far as I can tell it uploaded them. I'll wait to see if I get credit for them. That will be the definitive answer. I am running Xandros Linux ver. 2.0 Delux 32 bit on a AMD64 3000. |

Well, I've got to ask... why? :-) Probably the graphics? We should be getting graphics in Linux within a few weeks, if everything goes according to plan. Maybe even the pretty S@H graphics. The summer intern in charge of giving *nix users graphics has been checking in code into the core client to do it. Soon, I hope! :-) Rob |
