I have a laptop that is listed twice under 'Your Computers' The names are the same but the numbers assigned are different. Is this normal? Can I combine the results to show the total work this one machine has done?

Did you do a detatch/attach? This will cause the duplicate to occur, and will also inflate the "total computers" known to Seti/boinc

I saw one post where someone had done 50 detatch/attach requests trying to get work, and all that it does is give the Developers an idea that 50 (in this case) computers joined the project, when in reality, it was only one!

There is no reason to do a "detatch" unless you are leaving the project.

Too bad the cheerleaders keep posting links to the "owners manual" and not really answer the questions which are not addressed in the "owners manual"!
