This is kind of absurd, thought I'd share it.

I bought from a local store, ironically through their website, a shiny new IP sharer/Internet Router/Gateway thingy with a cool looking antennae ( might pick up some packets from ET, who knows ).

Start price for the box was 89 bucks, with an "instant in-store rebate" of 35$, and a mail-in rebate for 45$ more.... holy cow ! Ok 9 bucks, free shipping, supply my own stamp for postage. Pretty sweet deal.

That was 2 days ago, since then I discovered that actual 802.11g PCI NICs go for 89 to 99 dollars around here. Dude 99$ NICs, 9$ router.... on the same shelf. I went there, I've seen it. Um, ok.

Anyone know of an internet store, based in Canada, where you could get a PCI 802.11g card under 30$, shipping included ? I dont mind ordering from an alternate Universe where prices makes sense.

If anyone is interested in the specifics of the router ( manufacturer sale going on till the end of month I believe ) just holler and I'll poste gratuitous publicity :P

And also :

Hi :)
