Last modified: 8 Sep 2005, 4:51:26 UTC

I re-created this thread since my other one got stretched because of the elimination of HTML on the boards. This new thread is for the purpose for which I created the original, posting SETI/BOINC milestones. Anyone is welcome to this thread and welcome to post. All I ask is that you follow the guidelines I have set for this thread. Enjoy....

SETI/BOINC MILESTONE THREAD GUIDELINES:

    01. You must be a current participant in the science of this project to post milestone messages.
    02. This thread resides in the SETI/BOINC website message boards.
    03. This thread is for announcements of milestones for the SETI/BOINC project.
    04. This thread will allow a milestone total for all BOINC projects crunched. [See #7 below.]
    05. This thread will allow references to other individual projects. [See #7 below.]
    06. This thread will allow helping new users only if related to SETI/BOINC and the topic of this thread.
    07. This thread will not allow milestones of other individual BOINC or NON-BOINC projects. Those projects have their own message boards for this purpose.
    08. This thread will not allow milestones not related to SETI/BOINC or BOINC totals.
    09. This thread will not allow flaming any other users. [See this thread.]
    10. This thread will not allow minus rating, plus rating is fine.
    11. This thread will not allow any profanity.
    12. This thread will not allow 'stretching': no graphics/pics and while quoting a post with a very long URL in it, fix it if you know BBCode, otherwise delete it or place spaces in it to break it up so it will wrap properly. If you must include a graphic/pic in your post, create a link to it. No imbedded graphics/pics.

My next milestone will be later this week when my SETI credits drop below 50% of my total BOINC credits...

Nearing 25,000 total for all projects. Not bad for 1 1/2 months.

The team I belong to just reached 1,000,000 credits.
And (if you count what's in the validation queue) my personal credits have, by shere coincidence, reached 100,000.

So, it's a double celebration! :)
Now I'll open a few bears and get loaded... LOL!

Opening a few bears could get rather messy, especially if they're live bears.... >:-) (-:

Yep, that was a wink-nudge in rememberance of another thread here, where this typo turned into a rather funny discussion. :) But my real first name actually means "bear". :) The closest thing I got to open a bear, was to rip off the head of my teddy in my sleep, at the age of 7.

Uh oh. I seem to be slightly off-topic, so I'll take this opportunity to congratulate all previous posters here with their acheivement! Go crunchers!

Congrats to all for their milestones..... I was expecting to acheive a milestone today of 2.5 million "stones" for SETI but much to my surprise the site was down. :) I guess I'll just have to wait a few more days.

Mike
