When I saw the option to show my own background/logo with BOINC, I though, that's nice, but I made a small mistake: I inputed an incorrect http adress and asked BOINC to "update" results, for the last 2 hours or so, the program as been trying to download an none existing file, and there is no way I can make it stop: It keep trying and re-trying every 2 minutes or so. I've try to reset my preference, no can do...I'm to the point where I will simply wipe it off my cpu and keep going with the classic version until BOINC gets a little bit less "unstable"

OK, so your pref's point to a nonexistant file... change the pref's to an existant file. Even if you keep making it trying to d/l a dead link, it wont afect computations at all.

try shutting it down and starting it up again

Already tried all this, fat chance, program is still trying to download. And yes, I know it's still computing results, but there must be a way to erase erronous download from the transfert queue.

Did you had in the "Message" tab a message telling you your preferences has been updated?
As long you don't have this message I believe you will not get rid of the problem.

As the server is down for the moment, you will have to wait until the server is up again.

Once the server is up again, I would try to use the "Update" function in order to have the preferences updated on your PC.

Hope this will help.

Sure did, everything is updated, but the transfert seems to be stuck in the transfert section I suppose that there is some kind of glitch in the programme.
