Hi All, Please help!!! I used to run Seti a few years back and never seemed to have any problems, until now LOL. I have 2 projects waiting to be uploaded. The first project is completed and am aware of the problems with the uploading, which is sort of explained in the Technical News. The second project says COMPUTATION ERROR, however is also attempting to upload. Does the error mean my PC has computed it incorrectly or that the data I received was corrupt? Would just like to know if I should leave it as it is or abort the second project? Many Thanks JT |

What is the exact error message in the Message tab for that unit? If you can find the error message, you can look it up in the error message list in the Wiki. But usually it's not your fault. It may have been a corrupt work unit. It's just being returned to the Seti server to check against other people's results. If more people have run into this unit with an error of sorts, it's something for the Seti people to look into. |

Hi Jason I can't determine what the cause for the error is. BOINC can be a bit delicate with overclocked computers, but I see that your machine has delivered a good result already. In any case its already uploading. Don't kill it. The server will take note of the error ant send the WU to another user if needed. :-)= Greybeard All about BOINC: BOINC-Wiki (by Paul D. Buck) |

Cheers for the info but don't get it as I have the latest drivers installed as below. I'll have to do some research and try and fix this. Driver Provider NVIDIA Driver Date: 15/06/2005 Driver Version: 7.7.7.2 Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher This device is working properly. If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter. |

Now for a giggle!!! LOL I am running XP SP2 Norton Systemworks 2005 Norton Internet Security 2005 Intel Celeron 500mhz CPU 768MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce MX420 64MB Graphics Card I found this Info, Looks like i'm not the only one and could be anything and I'll just have to see how it goes. Could be my PC, but first time I've had an error like this. I found something to do with mixed client work and not matching, and also other info below. These are other recent posts in forums:- Yes, all of the mfoldB125 workunits numbered t0201E_1_700 and less are faulty and are likely to give this error. It has been fixed for newer workunits. I ran into a Fortran error on BOINC 4.19 too, but I forgot to copy down the error message. However, I suspect the work unit is faulty, please see: http://predictor1.scripps.edu/workunit.php?wuid=178824 This project completed perfectly and waiting upload. 25/08/2005 15:09:53|SETI@home|Started upload of 28oc03aa.28365.1024.797170.168_2_0 This is the corrupt project. 25/08/2005 15:32:06|SETI@home|Started upload of 28oc03ab.6636.2529.792340.231_1_0 |
