my total and average credit was there then the next time i turned on my computer to let it work it was gone. then later it would come back. its done this 3 diffrent times is this normal and can you stop it from dissapearing?

This behavior occurs when BOINC is trying to get credit from S&H server and server is ... down! Logical, no?

By "was there", do you mean visible on the Project tab of the BOINC GUI?
If so, here's what happens: When the BOING GUI tries to get info from the project and does not get any (whether from "No work available" or "Project down" or other causes), it stops displaying the credit on the Project tab. Once it has had a completely successful transaction (getting units/reporting units), it will display the credit again.

So, you haven't LOST any credit. It's just not visible in the BOINC GUI right now.
