Hi..I became a member, back in 2001. and pretty much just let my computer run the the surch. In fact it is still running the old seti app. right next to the new thing i just instald. And by the way, Love the new style..and the way it runs.cool. I have not keep up on the news, on seti. but What Happened, This totaly doese not feel like it is run by the same group of servers over at berekly, and what doese this new name mean?

You've got some reading to do, you know...

This can't really be done here in one posting. But just to give you an idea:

Meanwhile BOINC has been developped, a platform which allows to run more than one project. You download and install BOINC and then you can choose out of a handful of projects, for which ones you want to spend your CPU cycles.

Seti@home is one of these projects. We discern therefore Seti classic and Seti BOINC.

The homepage you knew is still there: setiathome2.ssl.berkeley.edu.

Seti classic will probably be shut down in some weeks or months.

I Thank you for the reply, yes, working on wall street will take a person away from all hobbys, and famly life as we know it:) Thank you for the links, i have a lot to catch up with, I have had no problems with the switch over, only I am still trying to import my stats from befor, but i think thats a moot point.
