Has anyone managed to get Remote Host to work on a Mac? Have followed the PC directions, do not even get the "remote control allowed" message. Even more important question - once you've tried to connect Boinc Manager to another Mac, how do you get it back to localhost?!? |

I have got it working - just put the remote_hosts.cfg (a text file containing only the IP of your host/local computer) in the BOINC directory of your target computer. However, I can't seem to get it back to my host computer, even with names like "localhost" or the IP of the host computer! Crunching SETI@Home as a member of the Whirlpool BOINC Teams |

I've tried that, no luck - and attempting to connect "lost" the local connection, as you said (quitting and restarting several times 'fixed' it somehow, eventually)... I've downloaded V4.72 and will give that a try, if I can ever clear out the WUs I have so I can install it... |
