Message 150544 - Posted: 12 Aug 2005, 14:43:00 UTC

I got two results which do not report correctly. Both have uploaded without a hitch, but they are not offloaded from the queue.

When Boinc connects to the server, and tries to report them, it gets the message "Got ack for result (null), can't find".

Any explanation for this behaviour? Should I undertake something to correct the situation?

Thanks in advance.

I have restarted the PC, and everything is fine again...

Thanks for the help.

Hi Paul,

sorry, but in the meantime the results have been reported correctly, and the files are not to be found on disk anymore.

Before posting the first message of this tread, I did check the results page for the computer which had the problem, and the result appeared correctly in the list, with my computer + 3 others having reported correctly the workunit.

So probably the problem was only local, as restarting the PC did solve it.

AMD Sempron 2.8GHz, 512MB Ram, Win XP Sp2, IDE disk, no overclocking, Boinc 4.19 (boinc 4.45 won't run on this computer).

Paul still may be able to gleen some useful information out of the files he requtested. If he does he can use that info in the WIKI. Obviously your problem is fixed, but with the information you provide he might be able to help someone else with a similar issue in the future. Think of it as your own contribution to the WIKI.

Hi,

it is not a local problem with the client or computer, i had the problem in the moment the BURP database crashed a while ago. The message appeared after a result was sent successful, and wants to be reported, but the reporting failed because of the database problems. I mailed the log file to Paul (just in case he didn't have one already).
