I run 3 pc's with BOINC at the moment.

The server has no work.

One pc will be going away today, but there are still WU's on that machine.

Is it possible to transfer these WU's from one pc to another? Will that work? Will Berkeley accept these units when they are finished by another PC than the one the were initially delevered to?

I don't think it is possible. And even if it is (by hacking around in the XML files) I wouldn't recomend it. Work units are given to computers now, not users like they were in seti-classic. The result would most likeley be rejected by the servers anyway, wasting your CPU time. Just detach from the project and let it go. I heard this wasn't implemented yet but under ideal circumstances, the work units that are still in queue when you detach should automatically be thrown right back into the outgoing pile for re-distribution. Otherwise of curse this will happen when they reach their report deadline

Hm, thanks guys. I was afraid it wasn't (easily) possible.

Pity. The machine in question won't be processing WU's again and since work is scarce at the moment and because other users have to wait for their credit longer and because deleting the files will cause Berkeley to have to send them out again I thought I'd better give them to another machine.

Sorry everone, 4 WU's wasted.
