Bad Astronomy is a website created by The Bad Astronomer who debunks many misconceptions about astronomy. The BABB is the bulletin board attached to the website, it is a place where people can discuss topics in not only astronomy, but other sciences as well. We currently have teams in Einstein@Home, LHC@Home, SETI@Home, and the upcoming orbit@home. Our webpage can be found here.

If you have an interest in astronomy or just want to visit with people who have knowledge in the sciences, feel free to drop by.

Non BABB members are encouraged to join the team as well.

Your website looks funny, I checked a few links and have bookmarked it.

Good luck with your team! :-) I'll stay where I am, in The Final Front Ear, though!

I read the "Bad Astronomy" book some time ago. It was an interesting and amuzing read.

Personally I haven't decided which team to join yet.

Nice find!

Good example quotes:

"First, I hesitate to mention it because nearly every science fiction show in the history of the Universe screws this up, but there's no sound in space."

"Oh, another thing: when General Grievous jumps outside the ship, we definitely see his cape waving in the wind. What wind? He's in space! ... And why does everyone wear capes anyway? They get in the way when you're fighting. Cripes, I don't even like wearing a jacket when I get into death battles with enemy drones. It slows me down."

I think the waving was produced coz of the air being sucked out of the ship... that or BS...

You are of course welcome to join ours, but the project is what is important anyway, not what team you are a part of.
