No, Bouncer Jupiter, which is a lady cat, is actually very much a cat!

I uploaded a better scan, so you can see it better. Calvin says to Hobbes:
"Life is hard, huh? And what have you done today?" And Hobbes open one eye and thinks "Humans!"

Exactly like my cat! She also thinks she has done a lot by sleeping the whole day! But you are right, sometimes Hobbes is very humanlike and smart! And sometimes very catlike and smart! :-D

I know the strip, but in spanish, and, as Waterson said, Hobbes is very proud of not being a human, though, sometimes, he behaves like (a very intelligent) one.
