I had my old S@H screensaver to go blank instead of showing any graphics. I set up BOINC to do the same thing on both computers (using the windows screensaver settings) but I still get an incredibly annoying SETI progress graph when the computer goes to the screensaver. How do I make that go away?

You can use the windows blank screen screensaver. I don't think you can have BOINC go straight to blank. I think it will only work if there is a positive number in the time to blank box.

>Basicly the black screen is to conserve cpu power by shutting down your grafics card (and it's burdon on the cpu). For Seti classic and binoc you have to set it to 1 minute to acivte it. This is suppose to speed up your calculations.

I would call that a bug. The old SETI@Home allowed you to set 0 minutes until blanking. I'd rather like to bring that back.

I've confirmed this bug, running the latest code on several machines. The old SETI@Home would allow you to blank after 0 minutes (in other words, go straight to blank screen and never show the pretty pictures) but the BOINC client does not.

This is a show stopper for me and the several high-powered computers I run this on. Any chance of getting this bug fixed?
