Hello,

I've been on Seti@Home since 1999. I recently installed the Boinc client and have it running. So far it seems to have downloaded six Work Units. One is being worked on, and one is in the queue.

But four appear to have been completed (Server State=Over). Of these four, two show Client Error and two show as Done. OK, I guess I lose out on the credit for the two units that errored out. (Is that normal for a 50% error rate?)

But, the two that apparently were completed successfully show that the credit is pending. How long does this process take? With Seti Classic, the credit for a completed module was instant. Why the delay here?

Hello and welcome SethM1222,

resuts have to validated against each other. As the deadline is 2 weeks, and some even miss this, it can take up to this 2 weeks, but usually it's justr some hours to days.

As both of your WUs have already reached the quorum it shouldn't take that long for the validator to catch up.

Thanks Saenger for the info and especially for the links. I found them very helpful.

It makes sense and also explains why my computer is whizzing through work units where Seti Classic used to take weeks to complete a unit. This seems much more efficient and lets you know that the results were validated.
