hello my name is john marshall

For me, what happened was that the old account's email is no longer valid, and thus I entered a new email account and followed by the old account's password at the "transfer" page.

It then prompted that it will send the email to the old account... now, I am stuck.

my old email is john.marshall33@btinternet.com do not have any more my new email is johnmarshall@homechoice.co.uk.
my new boinc account is

This email confirms your account with SETI@home:

For me, what happened was that the old account's email is no longer valid, and thus I entered a new email account and followed by the old account's password at the "transfer" page.

It then prompted that it will send the email to the old account... now, I am stuck.

At the end of the form to activate your old account, there's a section after the heading:

... or if you've already created a SETI@home/BOINC account and want to link it to your SETI@home Classic account:

This sounds about like what you want to do. Post back if that doesn't do it.

Sorry, but without your old email account OR the SETI classic password, you cannot retrieve your old account. Afterall, if SETI did not require this, anyone could pretend to be you.

It is supposed to be possible to link an account to the classic account with just the classic password without requiring the classic email address to be accessable.
