The splitter process on "sagan" has gone dead! It stopped at 33008 about 1 hr ago, and hasn't budged. Guess somebody needs to change tapes.

I think that they'll all be like that in the end.

The number of workunits 'ready to send' is also dropping rapidly..
Oh well, this whole seti project has to recover from this weeklong up- and download crisis, it'll probably even out in a while.
Maybe the guys at Berkeley want to reduce the server load by temporarily creating less new workunits to speedup the recovering process.

Greetings,
Speedy67

Actually, the guy who reads the tapes in (me) was out in the Sierras getting eaten alive by mosquitos for the past many days, and the other guys had their hands full getting the new hardware on line. I'll start reading more tapes in shortly, and kick whatever splitters needs to be kicked.

Thanks Matt,
I see you give philmor a kick and give sagan something to chew.

Thanks again!

Matt, or somebody, go and kick "kosh"!

And kick the rest of them while you're at it!

We're starving for work!
