The picture above shows the crew of Apollo 11: Commander Neil A. Armstrong, 38, a civilian who'd flown previously on Gemini 8, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, 38, a USAF Lt. I still remember sitting in front of the TV when I was only 5 and watching the coverage of the liftoff and the moon landing. I don't recall much from that age but I will always remember the launch and the moon landing. Even at 5 I knew the signifcance of what was happening and it helped spark my interest in space. Later in life, Byron's hero, Carl Sagan and his Cosmos series helped me put 2 and 2 together in understanding space sciences but Apollo 11 will always be my first outer space memory.

Thanks for posting Ulli and bringing back those pleasant memories from my youth.
