Hi

At the beginning it needs some time.
Every WU was send to 3 different users.
You will get credits granted when the WUs was finnished by 2 others.

Hi Zergas- The way the credit works is that Berkeley sends out each work unit to 3 participants, and when all three are returned, they are validated by Berkeley. Each returned WU may have different claimed credit amounts, so Berkeley takes the middle average of the credit for all three results and grants that amount to everyone who processed that WU. All I can say is to just be patient. I had many computers online at first, and it took almost a week before I started seeing any REAL credit adding up. Take care, and Happy Crunching....

Regards, Daniel.

How is the "Recent average credit" calculated and what is its relationship to the "Total credit" value?

Well if you can read C++, then look at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/credit.php. Basically it is a measure of your production rate, calculated by taking a weighted average of your production over the past few days/weeks.

I've given up trying to figure out the stats. Mine have lost points every time I send in results for the last 2 or 3 days.

I'm sure you mean your 'Recent Average Credit' is going down... this is because you are returning results but it looks like they aren't being granted any credit yet. This is a natural consequence of the way credit is granted around here. Despite its inconvenience, it is a far better system than what we had with seti-classic. Just be patient. With recent server outages and other problems, there are a lot of results that have been dropped so there is a lot of 'pending credit' out there. Once those work units get put back into the pool to be sent out (which is happening now) you will see more credit being granted and your RAC will go up. Once the project is running smoothly, your RAC should stabilize and remain fairly constant unless you add or remove a computer from your account.
