I Have An Old SETI@Home (Classic SETI) Account. How Do I Activate It If I Lost/Forgot My Password (Old Email Address No Longer Exists)?

I have set up a new BOINC SETI account using my current email address. I still have a Classic SETI account on the Classic SETI software from my old email address "weswade@concentric.net." I have forgotten the password to my old Classic SETI account, and I want to activate the old account to set it up to run on the new BOINC software. How can I do this? Do I need to contact someone at Berkeley? ID: 138065 ·

Unfortunately if you do not have access to your old email address or password there is no way to link the account to the BOINC account. Not quite true, but it may take some conniving. People have begged the current administrator of their old email account to forward just this message to them so that they can change the email in S@H classic so that they can change the classic account to be the same as the new BOINC account (this will get things updated eventually). People have bought the domain for their old email account if it was available. If all else fails, it may be possible to get the current BOINC S@H administrators to make the change for you. Matt Lefobsky seems to do this occasionally, and David Anderson does as well. BOINC WIKI ID: 140548 ·
