One of my host CPUs sent completed WUs on July 4 and downloaded 7 new ones. Since then, it has completed them and been unable to send them. (This is not the problem but needed to be mentioned here.) The CPU lost its internet connection However, my account info for this CPU shows 983 results, of which, 842 are listed as being sent to it from July 4 through today. The projects folder only shows the 7 WU's downloaded back on July 4. Least number of WUs downloaded per day was 24 and the most was 176. Of course, it now gets a message saying it cannot get more work as it is at its 100 WU quota. I've ran SETI Classic for 4 years and signed on to BOINC last October running up to 12 hosts without any major problems until this. All my other hosts run fine. Any and all help, ideas, cures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Paper Boy |

This problem has been noted before and it is usually caused by Berkeley server down and not upgrading the CC to version 4.19 or higher. At least one of your hosts is on ver. 4.18. Try an upgrade to see if it cures the problem. Andy |

There are other communication issues that can cause similar problems. Again, they require updates on both sides to be effective, but, the scheduler upgrade and client side will (hopefully soon) have a positive handshake that the result was received and recorded. I forget the details of how that was to be implemented. But, should be in the next server and client upgrades. |
