I have followed the instructions downloaded the file uncompressed the file using gunzip put in a separate directorie, used chmod +x but i can not get the thing to work. when I am trying to run the client the out put is boinc_4.19_sparc-sun-solaris2.7: not found but when i run the commant ls the file boinc_4.19_sparc-sun-solaris2.7 is clearly shown.

Start with ./boinc_client ? - Because you don't have set a path to this directory.
Btw. let the client don't run as root !

Same problem, chown myusernamehere, and had to chmod 774 to get it to run under non-root account.

Did the entire directory, not just the individual files/apps.
It is a sad sad day when someone takes your spoon away from you...
