Most common in my experience on OS-X, Linux users have reported it too ... and there are other reports of it showing up in the Windows version. In effect, BOINC does not properly shut down one of the running Science Applications, or the science application doesn't listen. So, what happens is you can get several processes running at one time. I have personally seen 4 different science apps running on the PowerMac even though it only has 2 processors. I did make a bug base entry and you can add to it if you like ... The last time I looked it was "unconfirmed" though I have/had screen shots of the multiple processes .... ID: 134376 ·
