I'm running SETI BOINC on eight computers. One of them insists the server is down for maintenance when it tries to get a work unit. It's been doing this for several weeks, while others in my basement get more work. It can ping setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu. I can log in to the computer, or log in from it to other computers, including ones not in my basement. All of my computers are running Linux, mostly RedHat Fedora Core 3. I tried moving aside various files and restarting, but that hasn't helped. I even cleared out the directory and started over, but that had other problems (I don't remember exactly what). Any ideas? |

Sounds like something is fubared. Try deleting all of the contents of the boinc directory on the problem machine, and copy the BOINC executable and the account_setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu.xml file from a working machine, and restart the program. (remember to chmod 775 boinc) |
