I saw this post in another thread earlier:

One of our splitters had died because the *nix machine hosting it had run out of swap space. We have fixed that problem, so handing out new results should continue on as before.

Is this why I haven't seen any credit updates for the past few hours? Mind you, I am not complaining, just making sure I haven't boogered my own PC while messing with it.

Yeah, normally I get about 50 credits every ten minutes or so....been stuck at same number for past several hours, yet all clients are crunching away. No biggie....I guess I'll get one massive update and jump 100 rank points in an instant sometime later.....BWAHAHAHA!

I've seen no "new" credits for most of the day. But....

You also got to consider that the "completion time" "problem" has also gone away.. So people that adjusted their queue to have 3 WU's (with 30-50h times), now have 20-30 WU's! So, there are a bunch of WU's now queued to users that might not process for some time!

For me, I went to bed with a "full queue" of 3 wu's on one machine and woke up to find the "full queue" was 18 WU's! (yes, this morning I did modify my preferences to knock the queued WU's back to what I really wanted. I guess I won't be requesting new for for a couple more days!)

That could also explain why "No work available" hit again today. When I bumbed up the size of the queues, I just wanted to make sure there'd be work for 10-12 hours. If there wasn't (and no certainty that I'd get more), I'd run Classic over night!

I sure would like to see my "pending credit" though, as right now it's "blind faith" that credits are being granted as they should....

Basically when I modified the transitioner with a more performant query I introduced a bug, I noticed the symptoms of the bug two days ago and one of the other developers isolated the bug and we fixed it today.

Basically, long story, short answer is we had to reque 200,000 workunits to get them back on track.

Needless to say, it'll be a little while longer before the transitioners have chewed through the queue that has been increased due to this bug.

If we had not requed the workunits, they would have never been touched again.

It'll pass in a few more hours.

Yeah, credits are slow here too this morning. With 200,000 workunits re-queued, it may be awhile before yesterdays work is verified. On the other hand, we will build a nice backlog of work while the project catches up. :)

Well, I got my massive update today. After earning about 500 credits these last few days, I jumped 7000 credits in about 4 hours. WOOT! :)

Had to wait 3 days to get more WU's all but one machine ran out and had to run Seti Classic on those 2 untill this afternoon. All machines full now hope I can get more when they run out on Monday.

Keep on crunching!!

Yeah, I think I am in good shape. I had enough WU's to keep my little Seti armada stocked during the past few days, and my clients were just reloaded thanks to a minor tweak of my preferences :) Maybe I'll wake tomorrow to find myself in the top 100 (RAC anyhow).

Rock on Seti!
