Well I still think its a question of manners. It would be nice if Guido thought of others before posting pictures. If I was a modem user I would be very unhappy.

Self regulation, which is how these message boards operate, relies on the good manners of all users. When that breaks down the usual result is the introduction of some level of oversight.

It is clear that certain individuals cannot regulate themselves and I believe it is not unreasonable to ask them to do so.

By the way Guido's excuse of poor English is just that an excuse. He has issued many coherently English posts in the past.

Guido has thought of otheres, since he has limited him self to post pics no larger than 10K, he could post pics 10K+ but he thought would lower it to shut you up, Some of you dont mind pics you just dont like large ones OK but guido has stoped large ones. People that dont like pics are just paranoid, any site you go on has pics a 10K pic on dial-up will take 2 seconds if that and you wouldn't be able to read a post that fast.

I'm sorry you think this is a paranoid response. Its easy not to think of the problems your causing to others but much harder to actually admit it and do something about it.

Fortunately most people grow out of a "just because I can then I will" attitude and start thinking of others. For most people that happens quite early in life for others, well you can see the result..........pics, pics and more pics

ADDITION: I've just noticed this on the "Click to kick...." thread;

Guido states :this is one step to much bruno .to post my bussiness e mail
i send you the bill for bring the system spam free

Now whilst I agree about mailing directly to Guido is wrong, it is just the case that Guido uses to justify the pictures he lifts from other sites. The pictures are in the public domain so he can use them - His mail address is in the public domain so why not post to it.

Manners - thats why.

Yes all the pictures are on the internet but they are owned by people. Yes its only time but some people have to pay by the minute. Its time that some people really did start thinking about the consequences of their actions.

As for billing for spam free - well here again what harm is spam doing you Guido. Just ignore it thats what people have to try and do with tour off topic posts and pictures.

It would be nice to have a "kill file" or "Ignore user" function on the these message boards. I suspect that would take care of the issue for most people.

OK Guido - in this free world of yours why dont you, from now on, place the pictures you post on your webserver. That way every time somebody opens a thread they will at least be using your bandwidth rather than a site you have decided to lift an image from.

By the way. Make sure the image isnt copyrighted.

Theres a challange for you. Lets see if your prepared to put your bandwidth where your mouth is.

Neil

PS The free world also doesnt extend to Guidos guestbook. You can visit it at;

http://www.xn--berverpackung-vob.de/

Click on Gastebuch

Wear your sunglasses :-)

The text at the top basically says that Guido will decide whether any posts appear. If you say something he doesnt like he will not post it in the book. Also, unless its my browser setup, the pictures inserted by the four individuals who have left messages are not being loaded.

@ Neil

It does *so* good to read some clear words, doesn't it Claw?
There is a dictum in german called "gesunder Menschenverstand",
in english "common sense", but literally translated it says
"healthy mind/sanity". Someone has got it - someone not.
Thanks Neil! On the other side I'm afraid your invitation to Guido
is useless, because it seems to be over his head.
I'll don't worry anymore, take my own conclusions.
Best regards
humeyer
