If the Scheduler were able to reserve jobs for those requesting:

"fewer active results than CPU's"

over those requesting: "low water mark hit" then you would divide the available jobs more prudently and have more numbers getting crunched instead of sitting in some greedy hog's cache.

We get frustrated when there is no work to do.

The low watermarks will request more units again soon anyway!

Yea, but when you have a fast pc, which can do maybe 10 a day it would be better off staying in that catch than a realy slow pc which does one every 100 hours only to send it off after dead line. but still good idea but only if they can perfect it to deadlines aswell.

Wow, you have a punto, but it is completely seperate. There should be an additional server response:
"sorry not enough remote cpu power to receive requested units"
"no work from server"



going up faster!
