One of the units I have proccessed has seven client error - downloading reports. I understand that a unit is only transmitted 9 times, does this mean that if mine and the only other one successfully transmitted units are the only ones proccessed that a quorum will not be reached? Paul's Wiki manual says three required; put that in before you shout RTFM. Andy |

Hey Andy, My guess? no credit. Hi Tony Thats my thoughts exactly, but damn its on the old computer 11 hrs to process, new one is doing unit in 2 hrs or less, and will be down considerably once its fully sorted out. Andy |

And here's another one , only 6 download errors this time mine is in, granted credit = 0, but 2 more received it OK, will this granted credit be changed if the other two complete successfully and a quorum is formed? Andy |

This is what CC 4.13 do. I still wonder why they don't make CC 4.19+ mandatory. When you see 5 or more download errors abort the WU as it will be trashed by system as faulty anyway. I just hate going manually through all the machines, but I hate doing work for nothing even more. Tony |

Yep... Unless they go in and manually issue another result for that Work Unit ... and they all compare ... I added a table to Quorum of Results, also look at Work Unit Record ... I don't have all of the values, so if someone knows what all of them are ... let me know and I will update the table ... |

This result now has three successful, unvalidated, returns and has changed from granted credit = zero to pending. Is there some why the servers can stop sending units to client with CC versions before 4.19. I have read that this is the cause of the download errors, On review the two units listed in this thread are not the only ones where I have successfully processed the unit for no purpose except to waste computer time and electrical energy. Is there some why the servers can stop sending units to client with CC versions before 4.19? I believe they can do this because I have seen that other projects (Einstein) clearly state the 4.19 is recommended. But I don't see that it is required so I don't know for certain, the wording is ambiguous. Then there is always the remote possiblity that they already do require it but don't check the CC version until after the WU is scheduled to the client. But this idea doesn't make sense to me, no programmer would do this. 7,049 S@H Classic Credits |

Is there some why the servers can stop sending units to client with CC versions before 4.19. Yes. There have been times in the past when they set the minimum version requirements. If you were using a version number less than the required version, you wouldn't get any work. |

Yes. There have been times in the past when they set the minimum version requirements. If you were using a version number less than the required version, you wouldn't get any work. And with luck, when they bring out the 5.xx versions (or the 5.xx.yy) we will see them up to at least the 4.25 or 4.3x versions ... |
