From The closed P8 Thread........

Saenger Posted:

There was no elections held for the general Population.

EDIT: In Requards to Iraq

If you remember Mr. Chiroc was hardlining US at the time and no one dare to speak aganst him.....

That's wishful thinking.

He's gone because the right wing government wanted too much free market (speak greedy, anti-social stock brokers), as opposed to a social and (imho too much) caring government.

Aznar was defeated because of his support for the US, Blair just managed to keep his job because Labour had no real alternative, and Schröder won his election especially because he was against the war.

Saenger,
I'll just take one of your way off comments....for the moment.

Anzar, Did not run in the last election so he was not Defeated. His Party Picked a successor and was leading in the polls 3 days before the Election The Bombings of the trains took Place. The opposition Seized the Moment and capitalized on a devastated population, Saying it was Terrorist in relation to the War in Iraq.

The population was not very positive towards the war, understandably so. They have had there own Terrorist groups to keep an eye on and were already terrorized by their own people. Still they supported their leaders. It wasn't until after the elections that it was publicly known to be aL-Qaida Linked.

aL-Qaida new the Spanish people were unhappy and capitalized on it. aL-Qaida got the results they wanted.

I can expand on this Sanger If you wish but I doubt that you want me to do more "Homework"

I am saying to you "Do Your Homework before you rewrite History......

And that’s the way it was......

My Statenment to the Masses.....

1. I don't like war and I prefer not to be in a war.

2. I Hate Terroism. And Unfortunitly it is here among all of us.

3. I have no ill will toward any peace loving people, That Includes The Great German People. I hope I have made my Self Clear.

Who is the greatest American?

I'll give you one guess. :-)

OK, so the poll is unscientific and has some really big mistakes in it, but it is fun to look at the diveristy on the list.

On Thursday, US Vice President Dick Cheney said he had "a pretty good idea" of where bin Laden was hiding, echoing comments by Central Intelligence Agency director Porter Goss, who said he had an "excellent idea".

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf dismissed as "speculation" claims by senior US officials that they know where Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden is hiding,

"Some are saying that bin Laden is in Pakistan, and what I want to tell them is: Please come and tell us where he is. Anyone can say that he (bin Laden) is anywhere, so why talk about his presence here (in Pakistan)?"

I just wonder what people who tend to stay out of politics based their votes on.

At least in my area which is heavy union, it's any Democrat that runs regardless of if the people have ever heard of the candidate or not. Issues don't seem to matter here except in the primaries when the Dems are busy smearing each other to win the nod for general election. After the person wins the primary, they really don't even need to advertise for the general election if they don't want to as they already won especially in the city itself.

To truly explore, one must keep an open mind...
